Up for Auction are (2) Goodman Ball 12KW diesel generators. These generators were manufactured in the United States by the premier supplier of Mil Spec generators to the American Military. The pair was purchased for a combined total of $25,000.00 including remote gauges which show engine diagnostic information. They are powered by continuous duty, industrial diesel engines manufactured by Shibaura Perkins . These units are designed to run continuously for extended periods of time (25000 hour rated) at 1800rpm (long stroke). There are no integrated fuel tanks. These units would be perfectly suited for a construction site, off the grid power solution, or mobile use (which they were designed specifically). These actual units are found in most MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles used by American forces in the Middle East. They are certainly the best of the best generators that can be purchased. Based on 25000 hour use, they can power a site running 8 hours a day, seven days a week, for nearly a decade before major service. These generators are monsters. Both units have never been operated (not even for a minute), were stored in a climate controlled building abs are in pristine mechanical condition. The units weigh in at 900 lbs each, and are sitting under a tarp in my driveway in Ardsley New York. They can be picked up here, or I will assist buyer with shipper if buyer arranges and absorbs shipping costs. A small truck with a lift gate and a pallet jack is required. Let me explain a few things and then you can let us know where you want to go from there. We will use a long-stroke diesel engine that have logged over 25,000 hours of run time. Because these low-end torque powerhouse operate at 1800 rpm, they exhibit less wear and tear than the competitors. This is a brushless generator features an auxiliary stator winding that provides separate, stable power to the automatic voltage regulator. This provides real 300% short circuit capability and improved breaker performance. The engine is Tier 3 emission compliant. What GBI is proposing to you is a 12 kW generator that will produce both 110/120 AC and 220/240 ACit will also have a small ability to maintain 12 volt DC batteries. Overall dimensions are approximately 47” long x 23” wide x 34” high these numbers can change if you want or don’t want fork lift pockets as drawn. If you decide you do not want fork lifting pockets we can reinforce the top to support a lifting ring mounted on the top of the unit. Looking at the drawing please note that hot air from the radiator would exit on the right side and other three sides would provide inlet space for cooling/venting. The battery location would be in the lower right side on the service side. Engine exhaust would exit through the top of the generator. The areas “A” and “B” are locations for controls you would have to let us know what works for you. Some further defining needs to discover as well. How is the unit mounted or is it portable? Is the unit mounted in a shelter and how do you vent the shelter to the outside? You stated that you would like to provide fuel from an existing fuel supply how and where is it located? We can provide a fuel connection and pump. Does your fuel supply already have a filter at the tank? Depending on how you want it configured our dry weight will be less than 900 lbs. Because we have a very long history of designing, engineering and building gensets for the military we can build to your exact needs.
