This auction is for a Labnet 96 well Multigene Gradient PCR machine that I picked up about a year ago from a lab that closed. It's been sitting on top of a -80C for a most of that time because I've got two PCR machines in consistent use and a shortage of bench space.  This machine is in very good cosmetic condition and excellent working condition.  I've run PCR genotyping on this machine and the results are comparable to my other two thermocyclers (Eppendorf and MJ Research). I can upload pics of the machine at temperature and a picture of PCR products in the coming days upon request. All these machines run on the same basic principles and the functional differences between them are small in my opinion. This machine has a gradient feature but I've never used it for optimizing reactions. However, I'm sure it's a useful feature for some applications. Overall, this is a quality machine at a bargain price. If you need a workhorse in the lab for routine PCR, this machine is ideal.   If you have any questions, please message me. “Cosmetically, the machine is very good condition save for a scratch on the plastic covering the digital display. I tried to take a pics at a couple different angles to capture it, but it's about 2 inches long in the upper left quadrant. There is a spot of discoloration on the top where a piece of tape had been adhered to the machine, but otherwise, the exterior, including the digital keypad are in excellent condition.Functionally, the machine is in perfect working order. I've run genotyping on this machine and it performs as expected. The digital display is bright and crisp. I will remove all the current programs on the machine before shipping.”
