This is a Graphotype Model G1 embossing machine made by Addressograph.  I don't know whether all the parts are here or whether the machine in its present state will work.  My understanding is that it was used to make military dog tags.  In some of the photos, at the very top of the machine it can be seen that a small piece of thin metal (perhaps 1 1/2" - 2" in width) has broken off.  I have that piece and, in the next to the last photo, I have inserted it next to where it belongs. The machine is EXTREMELY heavy and is offered for LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. A couple of notes on "Local Pickup Only" 1.  The machine is located about 40 miles north of Utica, NY 2.  I'm serious about the "local pickup" part of the listing.  While I'd like to sell the machine, I am in no immediate need of getting rid of it and don't want to get involved in any process which involves disassembly, shipping, etc.  For what it's worth, the last large item I sold on ebay went to a buyer in Japan who hired a shipping service to pick up the item here and move it down the road.  Seemed to work well for him and might be a possibility for anyone unable to pick up the machine him/herself. ************************************************************************************* The above is the original listing information for this machine.  In spite of what I thought was a very clear emphasis on "LOCAL PICKUP ONLY", the first message from the winning bidder was a request  that I ship the thing.  That transaction fell through and I am re-listing the machine now.
