Our Great Lakes Long Hives are great for beekeepers that don't want to lift heavy boxes anymore or disrupt the hive just to look at a few frames. Now everything can be at waist height, easy to inspect only a few frames at a time without disruption the rest of the hive AND making splits, population management and honey management is now even easier! These hives are heavy-duty, they hold 30 standard Langstroth frames AND fit all other Langstroth parts and pieces. Metal on the lid for weather protection. 4x4 legs made with treated lumber. 1 queen excluder 1 solid divider 1 bungee cord to hold lid shut or open. 3 screen inner cover slats and 9 solid inner cover slats (These can be added or removed depending on how much air flow you want in your hive.) Enough space between the inner slats and the lid to fit a large, in hive feeder. Small hole in opposite end of hive that has an entrance door. This allows you to make a split within your Long Hive. Again, these hives have standard Langstroth hive demensions except for the length of the hive. All standard langstroth frames and foundation, in hive feeders, etc., will fit in these hives.They will hold 30 standard Langstroth frames. ============================================================================================================================================== These hives are all made by our shop in Michigan, USA and can be altered to fit any of your needs beyond our version.
