Green Leaves Hydrographic Film Water Transfer Printing Film Hydro Dip Film X9D5 1) PREPARATION - Make sure the item has been stripped of grease, dirt and gunks and other stuff that may interfere with the adhesion of your design. Durability of any hydro coat depends upon complete and careful preparation of the surface before painting. The surface should be even and smooth. Any cracks, and holes or any other imperfections do let the paint adhere correctly to the surface. Inadequate surface preparation results into majority of failures. 2) PRIMER PAINT - Use the appropriate primer for your substrate. It may depend whether its a metal, plastic, fiberglass, ceramic or wood. Consult your local paint shop for the best option with your market . 3) PAINTING THE BASECOLOR - Paint your preferred basecolor. Most of the patterns are transparent so it a color of your choice would greatly affect your overall output. 4) ACTIVATION & DIPPING - Lay the film in the water. Make sure the 'sticky side' Remove creases/folds or bubbles underneath the print by blowing it lightly. Wait 60-80 seconds before activating it. Spray the activator as consistent as much as possible and without too much disturbance on the water. Once properly activated, submerge your subject by getting into the water on an angle to avoid trapping bubbles. 5) WASH - Wash your dipped item using a running water to get rid of the sticky residues left by the print and let it dry for a while.
