Grip Strip Trapezoidal Backer Rod is chemically inert, closed-cell polyethylene foam backer that is trapezoidal shaped ( 3 sided)  to fit between log courses and form a flat surface for the application of Perma-Chink or Energy Seal caulk. Grip Strip Backer Rod makes it easier to maintain a consistent thickness of sealant across the seam, reducing the amount of sealant required and improving the sealant’s performance. Grip Strip’s unique design provides an excellent fit and surface within the chink joint so there is no need for staples, nails or glue. Provides a flat, firm chinking or caulking surface Shape and texture allow it to be easily installed without using staples, nails or glue Grip Strip is closed cell and repels water. Most open cell products absorb water Compatible with all commonly available synthetic chinking Exterior and interior application Helps prevent blistering of chinking surfaces Provides extra insulation against heat loss Comes in a variety of width sizes
