These grip hoists are great for pulling vehicles, rocks, logs, equipment or whatever you need to pull. You can use any length cable as it does not spool on a drum but threads straight through and is held and tensioned  by two sets of jaws. I have used cables over 1200 feet long. The T508 is rated at 2000 lbs and uses 5/16” cable (30 feet included). It is used but works well. It weighs about 16 lbs. handle included.
