Question & Answer: Q: Hi , Does your siren work with an 8 ohm speaker ? or it must be an 11 ohm ? Let me know ASAP. A: Yes, to reach 115dB+ SPL output, you should use an 11 ohm speaker. You can also use an 8 ohm speaker with a series resistor connected with it. The amplifier will momentarily stop but will damage neither your speaker nor your amplifier. In other words, you can test our amplifier with an 8 ohm or 11 ohm speaker with no harm.
