H.S. Martin & Son Custom*Bilt Liquid Nitrogen Dewar For sale- an H.S. Martin & Son Custom*Bilt Liquid Nitrogen Dewar. I already have one listing for multiple large LN2 dewars, but all of those are relatively conventional compared to this one (and some others from the same lot). This one as you can see is suspended from a metal plate on the top of a wooden enclosure. I believe the 3 brass knobs would be used to level it out without having tested that theory. But there are a couple of things that make this dewar pretty interesting and unique. First, there is the spigot that I think I have pictured pretty well. I assume that allows you to draw off of the inner contents of the dewar. But as you can see there is also a fairly large spout that appears to be an opening into the space between the layers of dewar glass. Keep in mind that there is another spout on the opposite side just like it. So does that allow you to circulate something, gas or liquid, in that void? Or just pull a vacuum on it in which case I would have thought a single spout would have been adequate? I forgot to get measurements, but overall the wooden structure supporting it is about 3 feet tall. The clear plastic front and rear coverings slide out of the way for access. Given the height and the size of the base if you want the entire unit as pictured it will have to ship freight. I assume the dewar can be removed from the assembly but given the fragile nature I am not going to tackle that unless someone specifically requests it. And if I were to remove it the little spigot assembly looks particularly vulnerable to shipping damage, it would have to go in a huge box with lots of packaging or perhaps take it somewhere and pay to have a foam in place job done on it. So I am not sure how much would be saved by removing it from the cabinet. Untested, sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. Shipping will be motor freight on a pallet unless you would like to come pick it up. I would estimate the shipping weight at around 250 pounds, not because it will weigh anywhere near that, but it will get charged dimensionally for that. I would estimate the freight cost for that at between $150 and $350 to the east and west coast respectively. Residential deliveries, deliveries that require liftgates, deliveries to the boonies, and deliveries to schools or universities will all be more because it takes longer for the carrier to get the job done. Shipping will be via Old Dominion Freight Lines, which has done a consistently good job getting my shipments where they are going without roughing them up. I will be happy to quote you for the shipment, but I need to know the zip code, residential or commercial, and whether a lift gate will be required. If you would prefer to use another carrier that’s fine . It will be shipping from a warehouse with a loading dock in zip code 23093, but I do not live there! I require pickup confirmation the day before and your carrier must provide an emailed printable copy of the Bill of Lading so that there is paperwork available for the driver to sign when he gets there. The BOL should have all the info filled out when I receive it, blank copies are unacceptable. I can ship this to Canada via Old Dominion, but they do not offer customs brokerage services, so you would need to have your own customs broker lined up before it shipped. And again, I could possibly remove it from the enclosure for shipment via fedex, but would probably have to charge for the packaging that would be necessary to get it to you in one piece.
