TONOMETER SERVICE/CALIBRATION  Free Shipping!  About 65 percent of tonometers have calibration errors greater than plus or minus 2.5 mm Hg according to studies. Tonometers with calibration errors should be serviced by factory-trained personnel to clean and calibrate all models of Haag-Streit and Zeiss Applanation Tonometers. The process Optitech USA does to accurately calibrate your tonometer: We disassemble the unit and inspect all parts for wear or damage. Next either a calibration is done to the tonometer, or if the unit requires parts for repair, we will send you a quote to repair those parts. After calibration is complete and verified, the outside of the tonometer is cleaned.    Finally the unit is packed and returned to the customer. Tonometers should be checked for calibration error at least once a month, if not prior to each session.
