Folks, I've seen some hand carvings, and even tried it myself a few times, but whoever took the time to do this job is a true Craftsman, and VERY talented. The detail is amazing and considering it was a hand chosen piece of wood, this gut knows his art. The intricate details are fantastic. Even the boot string and holes are perfect. It has a beautiful color of stain on it the is ideal for the variable colors and grain in the wood. I, personally, am very impressed and sure the buyer will appreciate it too. It would be IDEAL to mount on the counter top, right beside the Cash Register of a Cobbler's Shop, or a Boot or Shoe store. It already has a small whole in the bottom of the sole just in front of the heel. Very good idea, because eventually, sadly, someone would steal it. I'll gladly provide a good long wood screw and washer to mount if you are going to do that. Even on a desk top, this would make a very attractive pen & pencil holder that will draw attention from anyone that notices it, and they will. I wish I could meet this craftsman to compliment him on his quality work on this Boot. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will return it ASAP. Thanks for looking, Scott. *Shipping in the USA should be about $4-5 as Standard Post, or $5.95 on USPS Priority Mail, 2-3 days. Probably the best route. You get the same price they charge me.
