The lid is made of plastic, which resists impacts and punctures. The transparency of the plastic allows the food inside the container to be viewed at a glance. The top of the lid measures 8-1/4 x 5-7/8 inches (L x W) on the outside. (L is length, the horizontal distance from front to back; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right.) The lid has a vertical depth of 3/4". Handi-Foil manufactures disposable aluminum foil pans, containers, and other products for the food service industry.
