I will combine auctions to lower shipping costs. 6.1 MMIC Gain Stages The input of the PA consists of a pad (whose value depends on the PA version); this pad can be adjusted to provide different gain levels for the different versions. Note that the input RF trace, being on the FR-4 bias card, provides some unintentional attenuation which must be rolled into this input attenuation. Following this padding is a small, inexpensive, self-biased MMIC and a larger power MMIC. 6.2 FET Gain Stages The number of gain stages depends on the PA version/power level. The LPA has two FETs (4.8mm) in balanced. Each FET is biased in its own bias loop; this stage is present in the SPA as well. The SPA adds an output stage which consists of a balanced stages (6.0 mm FET), for a total of two devices in the output. Each FET is biased in individual bias loop. The HPA consists of two stages of FETs; driver stage and power stage. 6.0 mm FETs were used on each stage. Driver stage is a balanced stage combined in phase with Lange couplers. Output stage is two balanced stages combined inphase with Lange couplers. Six of these devices are used and biased in individual bias loop.
