Contacts at the cable ends can be easily damaged during removal or reinstallation. Head Cables in the JV4 and TX2 are easily shorted by drips of water-based ink. Cables with questionable contacts should NEVER be reinstalled. Damaged cables are the leading cause of damage to the HDC (Head Data Controller) boards in JV4 and TX2 printers.
