Heater, duct space 120K BTU industrial construction portable diesel, military This listing is for an industrial sized diesel fired space heater. The heater is a self contained portable unit that includes a fuel tank and only requires a 120V supply plug. There are many uses for this heater due to it being portable, easy to hookup and having many useful features. It would be great on construction jobs, in warehouses, temporary tents, emergency heat, in garages or barns, around the farm and more. It could also be used an an alternative to traditional fuel oil fired forced air furnaces. This unit was originally built for the US Army so it is very high quality and built to last. If the heater is being used inside you would simply pipe the exhaust outside. The air inlet and outlet flanges originally had large flexible pipes hoses (not included) clamped to them to direct the inlet and outlet air. If using the heater inside you may not even need any ducting. Another feature of the heater is a fuel selection switch which either uses the onboard 26 gallon tank or an external fuel source that can be connected to the heater with fuel lines. The heater has an onboard control panel. The panel features a Co2 detector, off/heat/vent switches, and indicator lights. The vent position on the switch only operates the blower for circulating the air. We tested the unit and it works well. The exhaust outlet is simply a 2 1/4 inch automotive exhaust tube that can be purchased at any auto parts store if it needs to be extended beyond the pipe supplied with the unit. Hour meter reads 1 hour. The hour meter on certain years of this model has been disconnected because damage occurs to one of the relays when hooked up. This units hour meter is one of those. This heater has never been used other than being tested.
