Genuine U.S. Military Issue Surplus Heating Element Assembly or (?) We have no idea what this item is or what it is made for. We think it might be some sort of heating element assembly since the two electical wires are connected to the brass ends mounted under the metal covering. (See Pictures) The only markings we see on the item is the following.... On the round black plastic connector, where the two wires meet, it has.... 68954-1 68954-2 On the brass mounting backet attached to the round black plastic connector it has.... 68954 | 5 On the two metal elbow ends attached to the metal covering and attached to the two wires, they have the following numbers.... 134834 G 1 HE - 31 On the center of metal covering is the following.... US with an anchor between the "U" and the "S" One length of the electrical wire from the metal elbow connector to the round plastic black connector is 71" The opposite length of the electrical wire from the metal elbow connector to the round plastic black connector is 69" The round plastic black connector is 7/8" x 2 1/4" Diameter The overall size of the metal covering is 12 3/8" x 2 3/8" x 1 5/8" There is some sort of rough cloth or carpert type material attached to the top side of the metal covering. (See Pictures) There are ten mounting holes in the metal covering, they are 3/16" Inner Diameter There are two mounting holes in the brass bracket attached to the round black plastic connector, they are 1/4" Inner Diameter. The metal covering appears to be made of brass. It is non-magnetic. The metal elbows are non-magnetic. We are not sure what type of metal they are made of. The heating elements or (?) under the metal covering are made of brass. Weight: 3 LBS. 12 Oz. Similar to the one in the pictures. We think this item is Unused!
