These are the same fantastical HEAVY DUTY sawhorse brackets that I sell on E-Bay except these have the side dog. You would need two pair and once your legs and top are in just put your 2x4s in the side dogs whatever length you want and then lock them in with your carriage bolts and self locking nuts and washers, a piece of plywood on top and you've got a solid picnic table or blueprint holder or you can cut plywood or sheet metal and it will keep it from bowing or whatever else you can dream up, or you can just use them as regular sawhorses and the dog will be there if you ever need it! The leg brackets are cut at 22 1/2 degrees, the holes are drilled for 5/16th lag bolts (1 1/2") for the legs and 5/16 carriage bolt (2 1/2") inch for the top and dog. The holes on the top and dog are drilled a little larger on one side so you can put the carriage bolt head in on the large hole side and it will lock in when you tighten the nut. These are made out of 2 x 4 x 1/4 inch aluminum which will take a milled 2 x 4 which is 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 which is the exact inside measurement of the bracket. Just make sure you have a tight fit on your 2 x 4's and then when you tighten the lags and carriage bolts you've got some strong sawhorses. These are sold by the pair so if you want one pair or two pair just hit the box for each pair.
