Today we have a HEAVY DUTY INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH SINGER 201-2 SEWING MACHINE All METAL GEARS no PLASTICE In very good working condition Made in USA in 1940 with a powerful motor GEAR DRIVEN This Sewing Machine is ideal for Jeans, Quilt, Dresses, Leather, Tents, Sailboat Cover, Auto Upholstery, Horse Blankets, and more !!!! Up for bid is a Singer 201-2 serial number AF 399798, made in the U.S.A. in 1940 heavy duty gear driven with a full rotary hook system, and is in very good working condition. Not the best looking machine but works just fine. The orginal own was useing this machine for sewing light leather, upholstery, and more. This machine has been completely serviced, checked and cleaned, wireing is in very good condition, it is in great working conditions. This machine has been tested on 2 layer of 5oz Leather, 8 layer of Heavy Denim, 6 layer of Vinyl, 4 layer of upholstery vinyl and more, worked great. All test was made useing 15 x 1 size #18 needle, Coats t26 upholstery thread. Coats t26 upholstery thread is equivalent to commercial #69 nylon thread. This nice Singer 201-2 is a heavy duty straight stitch sewing machine top load bobbin, with a rotary hook (rotating hook) and a powerful motor. With this heavy duty sewing machine you can sew light to heavy fabric's like: Chiffon, Silk, Synthetic Jerseys, Crepe, Voile, Fine Lace, Cotton, Vinyl, Leather, Linen, Satin, Upholstery, Canvas, Duck, and much more. CONDITION: Very good working condition Has some nicks & on scratches it.
