Click images to enlarge This is a heavy-duty keyboard/mouse tray that has an integrated gel wrist pad. Unlike the $60-$80 units you'll find on eBay, this one has no phenolic tray, it's solid steel. This unit is of industrial quality, and will withstand years of humans leaning on it We paid $200 for it five years or so ago. It has a little wear, but still has many years of life left. It's very heavy-duty, and it is adjustable in/out, up/down, angle (tilt), and it swivels too. Easy, one-handed adjustment. The mounting plate shown in the right image above screws to the underside of the desk or table, and the carriage of the tray itself slides into this mount. There is a stop that's installed once you slide the tray in, so that the tray cannot then be pulled out of the mount inadvertently. The tray then glides in and out smoothly; four Teflon glides provide low friction and and high durability. There's a large "paddle" on the underside of the tray that isn't shown in the photo. You can grip the front edge of the tray and the paddle easily with one hand, and squeezing the two together then allows you to adjust both the height and angle of the tray. Releasing the paddle locks the height/angle, which are maintained regardless of whether the tray has been slid in to the storage position, or pulled out for use. It's a good, solid design, and it's a good, solid support. This isn't light-duty - it's heavy and will stand up to daily use. The tray surface is plenty large enough for a full-size keyboard, with plenty of room left for use of the mouse (that's what caused the shiny area on the right side).
