On the back, it says "Easy as 1-2-3. 1. Connect the HEDGE HYDRANT hose to your outside faucet and turn it on. 2. Push the strong steel HEDGE HYDRANT into the soil in front of your hedge. 3. Connect your garden hose to the HEDGE HYDRANT and you are ready to go." This hedge hydrant has solid brass valve and fitting, heavy duty galvanized steel stake and vinyl washer included. There is also a warning label on the back that says, "WARNING:Easily removed and stored in winter. Or, you should drain the HEDGE HYDRANT hose during cold weather to prevent freeze damage."
