Suppositories Scheriproct N Hemorrhoid Pain Relief Purpose : It is used for the symptomatic relief of pain, swelling, burning, itch associated with hemorrhoids or inflammation of the rectum (proctitis). How to use ? Insert one suppository deep into the anus twice daily, morning and evening, but 3 times daily in the first three days if the complaints are severe. With increasing improvement, just one suppository per day or every second day is sufficient in many cases. Storing : Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Keep it at temperature below 30 c . Active Substances : Fluocortolone pivalate and lidocaine hydrochloride (anhydrous). Fluocortolone pivalate inhibits inflammatory and allergic skin reactions and alleviates subjective complaints such as itching (pruritus), smarting, and pain. Lidocaine hydrochloride is a standard local anaesthetic which has been in use for many years . As it reliefs pain (analgesic effect) and reduces itching (antipruritic effect), it has been found to be effective when used in suppositories designed for the treatment of haemorrhoidal complaints.
