Hemostatix Thermal Scalpel Handle Model 6050 For use with the Hemostatix Thermal Scalpel System Model 2400Z series controllers The Hemostatix Thermal Scalpel Handle is a surgical cutting instrument designed to retain the precise, clean cutting characteristics of a traditional steel scalpel and to minimize blood loss by simultaneously sealing blood vessels as they are cut.  The Hemostatix Thermal Scalpel System provides hemostasis with minimum tissue damage and virtually no muscle stimulation, using heat thermally conducted to the tissue from an elevated-temperature blade. The Hemostatix Thermal Scalpel System consists of three components: 1. Controller. An electronic power supply which energizes the blade and provides various automatic calibration, sensing, and control functions. It has user controls with visual and audible indications of instrument status. 2. Handle. A resposable scalpel handle, connected to the Controller by a lightweight flexible electrical cable, for use with the disposable scalpel blades. 3. Blades. Different sizes of sterile disposable scalpel blades are available (similar in size, shape, and sharpness to conventional blades), incorporating heating and microcircuitry. The model 6050 handle is designed for use with Hemostatix 2400Z Control unit. All HEMOSTATIX Scalpel Blades, 57XX Series Blades and 56XX Series Blades can be used with the model 6050 handle.
