This Hewlett Packard (HP) 5517C laser head (transducer) is in very good functional condition with a measured output power after warmup when locked (READY solid) of more than 325 µW and REF frequency of around 2.69 MHz. It locks normally with clean REF and MEAS signals, and has been tested fully by Laser Sam of Sam's Laser FAQ in a monitored interferometer setup for at least 8 hours. The photos above are of a typical HP laser but the actual one for sale will be very similar. It is in very good cosmetic condition, showing at most minor scratches and/or dings on the cover from normal wear. Standard metal feet will be included upon request free of charge. Note: A tube from another similar laser was installed in this case so the backplate serial number does not correspond to the laser that had the original tube.
