The 4951B replaced the 4951A in 1985. The 4951B handles additional protocols (X.25, X.21, HDLC, SDLC (NRZI), BSC, SNA, DDCMP and most character asynchronous or synchronous protocols an. It also offered a higher capacity tape drive option (512 KB)! The 18179A Interface module is also included. This unit has seen little use and has been in storage for some time. Fired up straight away for the photos and seems to work flawlessly.  I knew there was a reason I like HP. There are operation and repair manuals readily available on line. You will notice that there are dimmer characters on the screen. This is due to the unit highlighting some characters and the scanning of my camera and the HP. To the eye it is perfect. No dead pixels either :) Forget the Ebay postage calculator, I will pack it up safely and post at cost from 6056. This also applies to international. It weighs in at about 5kg.
