Hewlett Packard patient monitor 78833B With Cable This patient monitor has a 5.5" by 4" CRT display with five variable-function buttons down the side. There are alarm silence buttons, a "press" button, a "resp" button and an "ECG" button along with a round five-pin female connector labeled "resp/ECG" and one round 12-pin connector labeled "P1." One of the alarm buttons is missing its rubber cover and the pressure sensor is located at the bottom of a short shaft, so it can no longer be pressed directly with a finger. There are two instruction cards mounted under this unit, one for general monitor operation and one listing alarms and errors. On the back of the unit is a pair of volume control knobs, an accessory connector, and a 20-pin connector labeled "To HP 78350". The unit takes 115V or 230V power. A hospital-grade power cord is included. How the unit was tested: When plugged in and turned on the display lights up. An internal test signal produces correct ECG and respiration traces. The missing button's pressure sensor can be pressed with a short probe and it responds correctly, but the button may require repairs to be functional for routine use.
