Nice ! Hickok 800 tester - Calibrated - Plate Current Mod - QuickCal Mod The Meter is face bright and the plastic cover is clear. Case is in good condition with some prior owner added tape and one small tear on back side (see photos) The tester has been modified to test Plate Current using the diode test points just under the meter. Instructions on how this works included. It is important to test idle current when matching power tubes. This tester did not have the line calibration adjustment pot so I added one. This tester has been modified so that the clunky adjustment rig R15 for bias and reduced screen voltage can be quickly and easily set. Please see photos. The 83 tube has been replaced with a Solid State Regulated unit for long life and stability. Calibration results - Plate Voltage = 149.9 (150v +/- 2V ) Screen Voltage = 135.0 (130 +/- 5V ) Reduced Screen = 56.0 ( 56V +/- 2V) Bias -39.4 ( -40 +/- 2V ) Bias @22 = -3.0 ( -3.0 +/- .2 ) Leakage test= pass Filament 6.6 (6.3) 12.7 (12.6) (+/- 10%) AC Signal= 2.45V (2.5V +/- .2V) Very good results overall and reads the 6L6 calibration tube right where it should. The roll chart turns and is dated 4-1-66, but I have also included all documentation and test data (including some error fixes) that I have for this model on CD so you don't need to use the roll chart, and can preserve it. I have extensive test data for the 800 series Including hard to find Western Electric Data for tubes like the 300b.
