Power Requirements: 105-125 VAC, 50-70 Hz, 20 Watts Frequency Range (AM & narrow band FM): 100 kHz to 110 MHz Frequency Range (wide band FM): 1 MHz to 160 MHz Frequency Range (AF): 400 Hz fixed & 20 Hz to 15 kHz variable 100 kHz Crystal Controlled Output: 100 kHz to 15 MHz (utilizing harmonics), unmodulated or 400 Hz AM modulated 1 MHz Crystal Controlled Output: 1 MHz to 125 MHz (utilizing harmonics), unmodulated or 400 Hz AM modulated dB Meter Ranges: -10 to +6, +6 to +22, +22 to +38 Tube Complement: 6C4 Main Variable RF Oscillator; 6SN7GT Crystal Oscillator & Cathode Follower; 6SN7GT Frequency Modulated Oscillator & Mixer, 6SJ7GT Negative Resistance Oscillator, 400 Hz fixed & 0 to 15 KHz variable; 6X5GT Full-wave Rectifier; 6SG7 Reactance Control Dimensions: 13"(height) x 16"(width) x 7"(depth) Weight; 33 lbs (net) The Hickok Electrical Instrument Company; Cleveland, OH; serial # 18254 DESCRIPTOR / DISCLAIMER: Purchased used from online vendor. RF Outputs amplitude and frequency checked with Tektronix 2236 Oscilloscope/Counter/Timer. Measured variable output frequencies reasonably close to dial and range indications; measured crystal controlled fundamental frequencies correct. Measured output into 1 Meg oscilloscope input approx 1 volt p-p with roll-off over 50 MHz due in part to cable capacity and oscilloscope response. AM or FM modulation functions were not tested. dB meter movement sticks at approx 1/3 scale--has to be tapped to return pointer to left end of scale. AC Power cord is not the original part supplied by manufacturer. A previous owner drilled an extra hole on front panel (visible in photograph) between the Synchronized GND & OUTPUT terminals. Seller does not know why this was done. According to manual photograph and text, the output lead was permanently attached (hard wired) to the signal generator. A previous owner installed a BNC jack in the output lead hole. The output lead was not present when seller purchased this generator. Frequency Dial Bakelite Bezel was received cracked in several places. Seller repaired bezel with epoxy and reinstalled. Clear plastic Dial Indicator in place but not cemented. Seller does not know what type of adhesive should be used to permanently attach the Dial Indicator to the Bezel. To prevent possible damage or degradation, avoid touching the lettering on the inside of the Dial Indicator. Manual photograph shows vertical pointer on Frequency Dial. This pointer is not present, but pointer attachment/adjustment hardware is present.  Auction is for Signal Generator only; does not include manual or leads. Manual is listed separately in another auction. This Signal Generator was purchased used and subsequently stored in an air conditioned, smoke-free environment. Details and defects noted above in the Condition Description and Descriptor/Disclaimer sections.
