This is a small but very strong IR emitter assembly. It looks similar to a space heater tube, but is a lot smaller, and designed for some kind of missile testing system. Overall is it about 110mm by 15mm, actual tube diameter is about 10mm. It operates at 6-15V at a LOT of amps. Comes with mounting hardware as shown. It would work nice for chemistry work as a heater for gas phase reactions or anywhere else where a little heat would be helpful. I recommend using a PWM variable power source with a thermostat to drive it. If nothing else you could use it to reheat that coffee that got cold on your bench, using a reflux condensor... This item is pretty hard to find I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.
