Adjustable High Voltage Switching Supply - 45V to 190V out, from 12VDC in. 6W out. Part# NS6A Pre-assembled, and tested, you get a DC-to-DC converter, that boosts a nominal 12V in (10V to 18V okay), to your desired voltage, user settable from 45V to 190V. Adjustment is made by an external resistor, RX. If the RX pin (pin 6) is left disconnected, the output will be 45V. If pin 6 (RX) is shorted to circuit common (COM, aka GND), then the output will be 190V. Or choose a voltage in between, with a prescribed RX. The output (with 12V in) will be 6 watts. So if you are using 45V, the maximum current that you can draw, before the voltage sags, is 133mA. In contrast, at 190V, the voltage will lose regulation, at a little over 32mA. Actually, it can output 9W transiently, and is burned in at 7W, but 6W recommended max continuous operation. It is basically the same circuit used on the kit, of the same function. However, this is a pre-assembled supply, and can deliver 6W, while the Kit must be assembled by you, and only delivers 5W (with the provided components). 20% more power. A Pulse output, has also been brought out. This output allows you to add extra voltages, with only a few additional components. So if you need a doubled, or tripled output, for running a dekatron. And/or if you need a negative voltage, you can derive one simply from this supply. This is a completely assembled supply. The only extra component, is RX, if needed. Board measures 1.0in x 1.2in (25 x 30mm). All supplies are tested, burned in, then stored, in individual anti-static bags. They are shipped that way to the customer.
