This Laser Eye Protection is old and should not be used with lasers unless it’s spectral transmissivity is tested first. It is offered as items of historical interest, as costume pieces, or for use in art. I’m guessing these were probably produced in the mid to late 1980s. The wooden case is marked with Spectrogard Laser Safety Goggles, CAUTION: DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO BEAM, Spectrolab Pat Pend Sylmar, California”. The wooden case is sound but shows signs of aging and could use a good cleaning. The lens is blue on the inside and gold on the outside (reflective coating). The rectangular lens slides out of the goggle frame via the flange as seen on the left side of the photo. There are no markings on the LEP so the wavelength and OD are unknown. Comes as shown with hard storage case. If you buy other items from any of my auctions, I will combine shipping and only charge you the actual shipping costs.
