Hix Corp. Air Waves AW-1000 Cap Heat Transfer Press 120V Customize Hats Air Waves Manual Cap Application Machine for Making Hats Part # AW-1000 Serial # 1000-5780 This machine is designed to apply heat-transfer graphics to hats. Features : Sturdy design that is lightweight & portable Electronic auto-reset timer Accurate thermostat Teflon coated blanket and spring hold down device 450 watts 4.0 amps 120 V 50/60 Hz 0-450 Degrees Fahrenheit Heat presses are designed so that the light shuts off when they reach the set temperature. I have observed that the light on top will shut off when you turn the dial to a lower temperature than it is at, here is why. I set the machine to 450, then as I turned the dial slowly towards "0" the light shut off at "300", so I put it back to 450 and after a minute or so I did the same thing and the light shut off at 350 that time and so on. This makes me believe the element was heating up to the set temperature, but the light shut off when the dial was set at or below the current temperature. At 450 I turned the dial just a little bit and the light shut off, and when I left it on 450 the light began to flash intermittently as it maintained its temperature.  This machine is fully functional and will work as intended. The graphics you are applying must be transferable at a temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit or less. The timer has also been tested and functions as intended.
