Brand New, motor start switch for your Hobart slicer. If you own a 1712 or 1612 1812 hobart with 1/2 hp motor that doesn't want to start, or when it starts it flickers the lights or the breaker turns off and the motor does not reach it's proper rpm with power, the problem more than likely is the sinpak switch. Please see my other listings and buy from me the repair manual for all those slicers, for the price I also offer one to one help. It will be your cheapest investment for your time. The capacitor (I can also sell it to you for $10), and the motor start switch is inside the motor housing. If you remove the motor cover held by 2 screws, and you see the switch in the picture on the left side through the hole of the bearing / rotor axle retaining secondary lid, this is what you need. If you don't see that and you see in the center a wide disk, you probably have the older style with the mechanical centrifugal motor start switch. This listing is for the electronic type, that is capacitor assisted (the capacitor in this case will be on the opposite side of the sinpac switch). Thank you and good luck. FREE SHIPPING ONLY IN THE 48 CONTINUOUS STATES, ASK FOR SHIPPING QUOTE IF OUTSIDE THAT AREA BEFORE PURCHASING / PAYING.  Attention: Usually we ship this item right away within 1 day, but we put 4 days in the event we need to get new ones from our wholesaler and will let you know immediately after ordering or ask before is such timing is important, we offer 100% refund guarantee for any reason prior to our shipping. We will not refund you if the switch is not the problem. We can show you how to check your switch to make sure it is the problem for free, just ask (or buy my Repair manual / see my other listings). We test the switches prior to shipping and you will receive a working switch (appearing in the 1st pic). I highly recommend to you to pay the extra for also replacing your capacitor even if it is not the problem, due to the difficulty level/trouble of the job to avoid problems. Thanks.
