The detector alerts users to potentially harmful oxygen gas levels in personal safety, educational, and ambient monitoring applications. It is factory-set to alert low-alarm conditions at 19.5% oxygen level and high-alarm conditions at 23.5% oxygen level. In high-noise environments, three bright LED alarm bars flash yellow in low-alarm and red in high-alarm conditions, alerting the user to potentially dangerous oxygen levels. The Honeywell Analytics 54-45-90VD ToxiPro Polycarbonate Oxygen (O2) Single-Gas detector is a vital safety device used in various occupational settings. It features a backlit, alphanumeric LCD screen that can be adjusted by the user to display essential information such as current gas levels, minimum and maximum gas level recorded during operating sessions, battery level, and time. The detector is operated and adjusted with a single push button, making it user-friendly. Gas detectors have a range of industrial and governmental applications, including fire and rescue, mining, construction, petroleum refineries, tanneries, sewage treatment facilities, and paper mills. Portable gas detectors are typically worn on clothing Gas detectors are vital safety devices that detect and monitor various toxic, combustible and flammable gases in an area. They are often classified by their detection methods, including catalytic, electro-chemical, point infrared, open-path infrared, semiconductor, thermal path conductor, and paper tape detection. Gas detectors are calibrated to known gases that serve as reference points to measure ambient gas concentrations. When gas concentrations exceed pre-set limits, an alarm or signal is triggered, alerting the user to potential danger. This detector has a European Conformity (CE) and ATEX certification for safety of electrical and electronic devices, and it is classified by Underwriters Laboratory (UL) to U.S. and Canadian standards as an Intrinsically Safe Apparatus and Associated Apparatus for Use in Class I and II, Division I, Group A, B, C, D, E, and F. It has an ingress protection (IP) rating of 66/67. The detector records the maximum and minimum gas exposure reached during its current operating session and logs and retains data of the 100 most recent gas exposure events. This data can be transmitted via an infrared USB adapter to a personal computer. The detector has a replaceable lithium manganese dioxide battery that can power it up to one year or 9,000 hours of operating life.
