The item is new and comes in an unsealed box with all contents in their original bags/packaging, including the Honeywell PCI3 Manual. The PCI3 replaces the N-485-PCI-2, N-485-HUB-2, and N485PCI2L adapters and can be used to replace a PW5K1CVT1 or a PRO22CVT1, although it does not have optical isolation like the others, which may be useful in some applications. The PCI3 Communications Adapter serves as the interface between a host computerвЂ™s RS232 port and one or more Honeywell access control panels connected on an RS485 multi-drop line. Its variable communications speed allows for up to 115.2 Kbps on the RS232 port and the capacity to add future technology enhancements without legacy limitations. Additionally, it provides time with вЂњsecondsвЂќ in true reports and flash upgrades of NS2 and NS2P access control panels. In configurations where there is an Ethernet-to-RS232 conversion product in place of a direct host connection, the PCIвЂ™s RS232 port behaves exactly the same as with a direct connection.
