This is not an auction for the complete gearbox This is for the fiber gear only - that typically fails inside the Hoshizaki Gear box. Fiber gear for Hoshizaki Flakers models 300B 450M 500B 800M 1000M 2000M The fiber gear that fails is not available anywhere else. You are faced with a $1700 repair bill to have Hoshizaki replace the motor and transmission. The first picture shows a failed gear (teeth missing) and the new replacement. The 2nd pictures shows the gear and motor, yours should look like this (you are not bidding on the gearbox or motor, just the replacemnt fiber gear) Rather than spend $1700 I had a new gear made. My Hoshizaki flaker is still running strong 2 years later with the new gear installed.  The same gear box is used on a number of flakers. Symptoms are a noisy, popping gear box, irregular or no auger rotation when the gear motor is spinning. The problem is caused by calcium / scale build up in the evaporater cylinder, which requires more torque to overcome the extra resistance and the nylon gear in transmission gives up first. Repacing the the gear box is simple, replacing the gear inside the box is bit more work but do-able with just an allen wrench and average handy man skills. It is filled with oil so it does make a bit of a mess. Call me if I can help James 580 799 2873
