Comes with the Hovertech pump, connecting hose, User manual, full size mattress, power cord. This is a portable device that can be transported easily. The pump has a bed rail hanger and carry handle. The connecting hose can be connected on either corner of the matress foot end. Intended to leave under the patient and only inflated when the patient is to be moved. I tested the unit out and I could effortlessly move my test subject around the room while they were laying on the mattress. Directions for use are permanantly sewn onto the foot of the mattress. The mattress and cover is machine wash with drip or low heat dry. Although this is a "single use" mattress - it is very durable and well contructed. I believe this can be used over and over. It is radiolucent and artifact free so patients may remain on the HoverMatt mattrress for all ancillary procedures, including Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, MRI or Radiation Therapy. Purpose: Consistent utilization of the HoverMatt dramatically reduces back injuries to staff that are caused by lateral transfers and repositioning. In addition, fewer staff members are required and a very comfortable transfer for the patient is provided. Priciple of operation: After the patient is placed on the HoverMatt transfer mattress, low pressure air from the small air supply will inflate the mattress. At the same time the air is supporting the patient, the air is escaping from the perforations in the underside, and acting as a lubricant to reduce friction, which facilitates effortless transfers. With less force needed to transfer a patient, there is less physical effort and strain expended by caregivers which results in a reduction of workers' comp injuries. The HoverMatt technology requires 90% less force than conventional products currently in use. CONDITION There is no sign of wear or tear and it works perfect. The mattress looks new and has 0 defects, rips or tears. I tested it and it works exactly as designed. The pump is strong and the connecting tubing is perfect. The power cord is good.
