It is compatible with the 8480 family of power sensors, and depending on the specific sensor used, it can measure power from -70 dBm (100pW) to +44 dBm (25W) across frequencies ranging from 100 kHz to 110 GHz. This power meter is specifically designed for use in automated test equipment (ATE) systems and demanding benchtop measurements, and it provides fast, reliable, and accurate average power measurements. The HP Agilent 437B comes with a sensor cable, and it has the option to use power sensors and a power reference for automatic calibration and zeroing. Other features include duty cycle entry for a peak power representation of the measurement average power, ten preloaded sensor calibration factors versus frequency, frequency entry instead of calibration factor, and ten preloaded sensor calibration factor versus frequency tables.
