The sensitivity of at least 15 mV rms reduces the need for preamps while improving low-level signal measurement accuracy. The device's versatile signal-to-noise conditioning is enabled through a low-pass filter, automatic or manual attenuator, and trigger level control features. The number of display digits can be controlled to view only readable digits from stable signals, with ranges from 3 to 11 digits. The device also allows for external DC operation with wide range external DC input power from 9-15V. This enables the use of sources such as 12V automobile power to keep the timebase warm or charge the battery option while in transit to remote sites. The HP Agilent 5385A Universal Frequency Counter is a reliable and efficient device that provides dynamic frequency coverage and optimal accuracy for all your measurement needs. The AGILENT HP 5385A Frequency Counter operates with outstanding performance and low cost utilizing interpolar-enhanced reciprocal counting. It offers frequency coverage to measure from 10 Hz to 1 GHz with resolution of 9 digits per second. The programmable alphanumeric display is easily accessed remotely through either HP-IB or HP-IL. Improved counter reliability and serviceability are enabled through the liquid crystal display (LCD) that reduces component count, and is easy to read indoors or outdoors. The device is portable, rackable, and stackable, making it ideal for use in the field, at a workbench or as part of an ATE system. It features high input sensitivity that extends applications, as well as extensive input conditioning for improved accuracy. The variable display digits enhance readability while the external DC operation extends portability. The HP Agilent 5385A also comes with a high-stability ovenized oscillator for better accuracy, and a proven reliability track record.
