This is an 8591E 75 ohm version with optional cable tv measurement personality installeable upon request at no extra fee !this is basically an 8591e converted to an 8591c as it is identical(if I install the cable tv personality which I can). this has the coveted tracking generator built in which is a 1000$ value upgrade. I can also upon request install any one of the following measurement personalities at no extra charge : cdma phs gsm multband cable tv scalar quasi peak detector(I think it needs opt 103 hardware to work though) international shipping rates are 120$ to 550$ depending on the country but usually about 350$ to 450$ for a spectrum analyzer measuring 28x22x18 inches 50 lbs. message for a formal quote before buying ! south america will be 550$. mexico is 250$. canada is 120$ to 200$ since it goes ups ground , I use ups ground, fedex ground, tnt and usps ems . This unit is a midyear model and its got some real high demand options ! option 001 allows it to be used as a 75 ohm analyzer or 50 ohm analyzer simply by switching a setting inside the soft menu which changes the setting in the 3rd converter. also you can change the amplitude unit to dbm like a standard 50 ohm analyzer. I fed my signal generator thru this at 50 ohm with the 50 ohm setting and my amplitude readings were perfect just as if it was a standard 50 ohm only analyzer. and with 1.8 ghz you really dont need to have an N connector. bnc works just fine up to 1.8 ghz without any loss. also has the highest demand option next to tracking generator which is the narrow bandwidth option which the E series really needs to make it perform more like a higher end 6 series. it also has the much needed option high frequency stable standard 10 mhz. the ones that they usually come with are junk so the precision option is a must. and opt 41 is nice for connecting to printers and controlling it via keyboard and pc. this unit is one out of many analyzers for sale. and I also have 2 8563a, 3 8563e, 6 8562a , 2 8562e, 2 8561e , 1 8560ec, and 1 8560e. . and 2 8560a with tracking generators as well for 4000. I have thoroughly tested all of the functions and it passes all my freq response ,amplitude accuracy , noise-floor sensitivity,flatness, attenuator, and stability tests flawlessly within spec and is guaranteed to re-calibrate with no issues! .the waveform even at super high frequencies with low spans, on this unit has excellent shape with no spikes at low spans / bandwidths. you may be able to find one cheaper on ebay but not one this thoroughly tested or freshly calibrated and realigned . chances are that they will not be able to calibrate without repairs. even if they are offering warranty, Its good odds that there is an issue or they are hoping you wont send it in for cal because it will not calibrate. All buttons, knob, outputs , and inputs and both ref sources(rear 10 mhz ref and front 300mhz cal out ref) work great. crt is in good condition with minor screen burn but nothing severe. still clear and bright and easily readable with lots of life left. These units dont need to be sent in for cal very often like the 6 series because it has its own built in frequency and amplitude calibration that you can run anytime. No errors show when powered up, or while running all the internal tests , passes confidence test and internal self cal flawlessly .
