The DesignJet Z6100 has been the flagship HP wide format printer for years. The Z6100 can economically print huge photographs, big posters, large size drawings, construction plans, blueprints, electrical/plumbing diagram, presentation charts, banners, signs, or any oversize pictures or documents. This printer is also widely used in Fine Art print shops for canvas and professional photo reproduction. We were using this machine primarily for media testing. We would test new types of materials our supplier would provide us and figure out which settings and ICC profiles would best suit the material. This printer was used for small runs - no large productions were done on this printer. We absolutely love this printer. We're only selling it because we recently upgraded to the new HP DesignJet 6800. We would highly recommend this printer to any print shop looking for an economical 60" wide unit to help you capture those BIG jobs. The beauty of the Z6100 (in our opinion) is that it can handle just about any type of aqueous-compatible material you load in. From thin bond paper, gloss/satin.matte photo papers, canvas, heavy polyester fabrics, scrim vinyl, polypropylene, PET films, window perforated vinyl, backlit films, static cling vinyl, and adhesive wall fabric. This printer equipped with HP 91 Pigmented Ink. Pigmented ink is superior to dye based ink because of its longevity. Dye based ink can fade in sunlight as quick as 2 weeks!
