Let me start by saying all of these are glass or better, and I have ZERO "garbage" glass here (for lenses bigger than 10mm, because under that I've kept some just decent pieces in case the buyer needs to replace a lens in a security camera or other small device that doesn't require anything fancy, but the device itself is still a good piece of equipment they need to fix). To me, garbage glass would be defined as a commonly found lens from a cheap camera or other device. I have around a hundred lenses or so that ARE NOT in this sale, which I removed because they weren't up to the quality standard. Now with that being said, I have been collecting (hoarding, whatever) lenses/mirrors (even some beam splitters here) from various types of equipment for years, for the use of fixing devices, and/or because I have an affinity for them. Unfortunately for me, I now have to raise a little bit of money, so I'm forced to part ways with this stuff and see them off to someone else. **NOTE: I'm referring to lenses, mirrors & beam splitters as "lenses", and glass, quartz, or other glass-like material are referred to as "glass" for the sake of the listing.** The way these pictures should be read/viewed, is that after the main image (#1 out of 11), the next five are from the right side of #1, then the following three come from the left side of #1, followed up by the last two pictures showing the weight of the biggest two in the lot. Two tables, one right, one left. The types of lenses found here have come from a variety of devices, from $10k medical equipment to Leica microscopes, a lot of night vision devices, medium to high end projectors, laser lenses, and the largest ones were pulled from a 1000mm zoom lens (see weight on the last two pictures). I have spent obscene amounts of money procuring them over the years, and there are a wide variety in the batch (convex/concave/diverging/converging/etc/etc/etc). Nothing has been kept on the side for myself, like a favorite or most valuable, every single good lens I have is here (with the exception of some germanium ones already listed on Ebay), and all are either in perfect (or as close as can be) or excellent condition, with the exception of about fifteen or so. Of those fifteen, there are light scratches and even chips/(10%)chunks broken off of them, but I feel like even the broken ones can still be used in everyday applications because they're just side sections or "non-viewable-in-use" areas. There are no half lenses, or ones with more than 10% removed, and if they weren't very good pieces of glass I wouldn't have included them. In fact, every single lens on the right side of the #1 image came from an expensive device of some kind. They are coated, filtered, colored, glazed and any other word describing things you do to make a lens something more than a piece of curved glass. By my estimations/counting and repeatedly losing count, there are roughly 350 or so lenses/mirrors/splitters here, and I'm not counting the little tiny ones (< 4mm). The price on the lot will put an average of about $6 per lens, and before you fall out of your chair, remember I'm including the < 4mm ones for free, (because they're not a part of the total count). $6 for a glass lens is more than reasonable, and $6 for an almost 3lb lens is a steal any way you look at it. So, take a look around Ebay and see some of the pricing on lenses. Some go for a set of five at $60. This lot has about 100-150 that would be in that group of five without a doubt. Some of these would easily be priced at $50 by themselves, and thats not including the biggest ones. So, now you understand my price justification. (Keep in mind, to ship these properly, it will take me about two days to wrap/pack them all, most individually, and thats after I spend who knows how much buying material to do so). I will do my best to answer any and all questions. If you're considering purchasing this lot and would like me to take higher resolution/better lit pics, weigh or measure some of them, just let me know. I'm not sure how you'll be able to tell me which one to do since they're packed on the tables, but we'll figure it out. However, if you're just curious about one of them and don't have any intention of buying, please don't have me spend time doing work to appease your curiosity. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it's a lot of effort dealing with these (put on gloves, make sure you pick up the right one without hitting another, wipe it off before and after, etc), plus I have better things to do like watch tv on the Internet. Anyways, I'm hoping to win some sort of prize for the longest description ever written on here, and I think I've at least broken some sort of record. So, in closing, payment is due within 24 hours of purchase or I will re-list them, and as far as returns go, I'm going to say "No Returns", but this will require a "cross that bridge if we get to it" mentality, because I want the buyer to be satisfied and happy, but it's hard to expect someone to put in the effort of packing them all safely back up and shipping them to me without some of them getting messed up (or go missing).
