NATIONAL INSTRUMENT SERVICE CORP is offering a Humphrey Automatic Refractor / Keratometer, model 599. Picture show is of the actual unit. This unit was bought from an ophthalmologist office in good working order. I am not an expert on this unit so you are buying this item as is. I did observe the following when turning it on: - Unit turns on and screen goes on as well. There is NO flickering at all on the screen. - After unit turns on, the upper head assembly moves very smoothly. - Unit is in a very nice cosmetic condition. - All of the buttons respond when pressed. - When moving the joystick, the elevation and full motion, of the upper assembly is very smooth and works great. - In manual mode, when joystick is pressed the machine focuses and takes the reading. If you set it into auto mode, the machine moves the head to find patient eye, takes readings from one eye and automatically moves to take readings of the 2nd eye. - In auto mode, after both eyes have been measured, an internal printer prints the readings. Printer module looks to be in great shape and prints in the full width of the paper. - Internal charts are available in this unit and are very clear when looking into the machine from patients side.
