US-ARMY I-177-B Vacuum Tube Tester Features: True Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Manufactured for US-Army circa late 1940s- early 1950s Tests amplifier tubes on Good/Reject Quality scale and for Mutual Conductance (Gm) in three ranges 3000, 6000 and 15000 uMhos Capable of testing Vintage "antique" vacuum tubes of 40s era. I tested one tube.  The unit turns on.  I'm guessing it needs calibration.  Sold as-is.  No returns. The I-177B is an excellent tester for preWorld War II tubes.  The I-177 series tube testers were built for the military by several manufacturers. The I-177 is a mutual conductance tube tester capable of testing most of the tubes produced from early 4-pin radio vacuum tubes through tubes manufactured up to the 1950s. This is an excellent tube tester for working on antique radios. The I-177 will also test newer tubes with the use of a MX-949 adapter. The MX-949 adapter is cumbersome to use and the set up requires arranging series of jumpers for each type of tube under test. The adapter is also harder to find and can easily cost between $120 and $250 if found in good condition with all its jumpers.  The I-177s are a favorite of radio restorers for testing early vacuum tubes and are usually used in combination with a newer tester to cover testing of later vacuum tubes.  Buyer is responsible for customs fees and/or import taxes.  I will not falsify customs forms.  You will have to pay full duty on any item I sell.   Unfortunately, I can only accept buyer with a feedback record of 10 or higher.  I will only ship to countries with paypal confirm address (those that qualify for Seller Protection).
