IBM Correcting Selectric II Typewriter WAS in good Working Used Condition - READ! Please read the entire listing Before you bid................ Up for sale is one used vintage IBM Correcting Selectric II Typewriter THAT WAS (read on to notes) in Nice Working Used Condition with Cover & Pad. Was good ole work horse of its day. Just been sitting around covered for last bunch of years. Used every now and then to do a few labels and envelopes, but could really use the room now. Always covered, nice clean condition. Probably could use a ribbon, all keys seem to strike fine (you can see my test page pictured). Only things I just noticed us the Back Space seems to stick? Makes click sound, but doesn't seem to move to a space back. This also seems to effect the correct backspace too (they seem connected). Read somewhere, may just need to clean the contacts?? Also one of the small chrome roller release buttons snapped (still have the piece). Other than these 2 items, everything seems to in fine working order. Been a long time since last service, but not really used much since. Probably good use a but a TLC (or drop or 2 of oil, but overall great shape! Pictures are of the actual unit. Now here are the updated notes.....This Typewriter was in good working order....and I sold it someone else....Packed it up and shipped and once the buyer received it they complained it was BLUE....This is a blue typewriter, I think the pictures clearly show that! I don't know what they were looking at....and then they said it was missing parts! (which actually now it's missing a key or 2)..and the cover was ripped (the each was torn and I had a picture of that) and now is ripped even more....So they made a huge fuss about the "color" (it is blue, pictures showed it was blue, I don't get it)...sent it back (did a bad job of repacking it!!)....and now once I got the typewriter shipped back to me ....Its missing the left CR rocker key, the right On/Off rocker key is busted, and the what I'll call the carriage return/movement cable is now lose and came off of wherever it was connected to??? cover is torn more etc...So the unit does still turn on and the keys seem to work as described originally, but carriage no longer moves correctly and perhaps has few new issues (which I'm chocking up to damage during shipping this item back and forth across the country), So basically I'm selling now As Is for parts or repair. I seriously doubt any of these issues are a show stopper, but it definitely needs some odds and ends now and I don't have the expertise to do the fixes...and certainly worth it's weight in good remaining parts.
