This item is used, and is untested. The item is in good condition for its age. It does show signs of use/handling such as scuff/scratches, you may be able to clean the mars off, I will leave that up to the collector.  The leather case is in the good condition considering it is over 50 years old. it has what looks like white paint splatters on the case but all snaps, brackets, and other metal hardware on the leather case is bad icky pristine. There is no battery with the unit, and I doubt the battery would have been useful due to age and the nature of battery chemistry, probably even dangerous if the battery still existed with the unit.
