Need to program a 3.3V AVR device, but only have 5V programmer? This is ISCP Level Shifter for AVR. I has a 3.3V and 2.7V regulator on board and a tri state buffer. It connects between AVR programmer and the device and will allow you to program a 3.3V or 2.7 device using a 5V programmer. It can also use power from the device, anything from 5V down to 2.7V and maybe even lower (not tested). Tri state buffer will go high impedance when the reset line is up, so it won't interfere with SPI communication once the program is running after programming. The maximum current it can supply is 80mV in 3.3V and 2.7V mode. Output voltage is selected using a slide switch. Selected voltage is indicated using LED. If you are programming a device that's self powered, select EXT, then the level shifter will be powered from the device at what ever voltage the device is using. If you don't need lower voltage, but want to protect the programmer from your device, select 5V0. It comes with 6 pin ISCP cable. Only connect to a self powered device when EXT is selected to prevent damage to the level shifter.
