This "idler gear" would be found on the operator side of the second print unit of Heidelberg Quickmaster and Printmaster presses. A few years ago I went into a shop where the machine was bound up. It was not possible at first to even roll it all the way around. One of the role pins that hold the small gears and cams to the oscillating rollers had broken and fell into the gears below. I had to remove them all and using a file I smoothed out the gears that had been damaged. How do yours look?
