Indexing/Dividing Head This indexing head is a machinist made unit, the unit is very well made and was clearly made by someone with a great degree of skill. The unit has the name Glen Hochtetler 1980 stamped on both the head and the tailstock. The indexing head is in good condition and still coated in a healthy layer of protective grease. The spindle and chuck backing plate are 1 1/2-8 thread. The Cushman chuck measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter, externally  the chuck is a little beat up but is problem free and complete with chuck key. The unit has 3 indexing plates with it and can be used horizontally as well as vertically. From milling table to the center of the spindle measures 4 1/8 inches. There is slight backlash in the spindle, it is not excessive and is actually comparable if not less then the new Vertex indexing head I also have listed. One indexing plate is numbered from 15 to 20, the second is 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31. The third is numbered 37, 39, 41, 43, 45, 47, 49. This is a very heavy solidly built unit that while homebuilt is still very suitable for anything you would need it for. If you have any questions please contact me
