How does it work? The signal from the serial (or parallel) ports on the back of the computer send data to the cash drawer. Then you can hook up another two devices to the back of the cash drawer. This will save you the costs of extra ports. Special "pass through" connectors inside the cash drawer save valuable serial connectors. This attractive looking drawer also has a cut-out in the front for checks and credit card receipts.
