In a word, it's massive. This desk is over 5 feet long and 3 feet deep. It probably weighs 300 pounds. It took four guys just to get it into the shop. It was most likely one of a kind and built, on-site, by the typographer. It shows it 100+ years of wear with dented surfaces, worn edges, and some scarred paint, but it's no less indestructible today than it was when it was built.  I believe you will have a difficult time finding anything else quite like this. It is a one-of-a-kind piece. In complete honesty, my partner and I had a hard time coming up with a price for this. Other typographers' desks can sell for $2,500 and more, but this one is more rustic. On the other hand, this one is also unique and enormous, so how does that affect the value? Ultimately, what we said was, if someone is going to go through the headache of arranging shipping for this desk, they're going to need a good price.
